Brass Discovery Day
Children are strongly encouraged to bring their instruments as the tutors will be taking players through basic brass-playing techniques to help promote the very best habits from the very start. All children must be accompanied by an adult. We also hope as many youngsters as possible will join in with the massed-band finale whereby they will play with the band for their final piece! Each novice will be sat next to an experienced player who will play their part with them. The only note players need to be able to play is a concert Bb and you can find a downloadable part for you here (backing track to follow) so you can become familiar with them. Full tuition will be given on the day as well!
Whilst entry is completely FREE to parents and children, places are necessarily limited so we do ask that children are registered using the form below so we can ensure that there are sufficient parts and chairs available and customise the session as much as possible to those attending. You can also use the form to ask any queries you might have.
We look forward to welcoming you in November!
