Welcome!
The Goring and Streatley Young Musicians Trust was established in February 2024 to support music-making opportunities for young people in our communities.
The advantages of developing musical skills at all ages have been well-documented however children's musical education is at risk from the cost of living crisis, escalating costs and uncertainty around government funding. Our charitable aims and activities therefore include:
enabling children to learn a musical instrument at primary school for free
provide bursaries for follow-on tuition and access to instruments
encourage and increase participation in our local community music scene
