We want to encourage everyone to play an instrument and whilst our charitable priority is to support grassroots music-making, many of the following resources are equally suitable for new and rusty players of all ages.
Some of the ways we enable and encourage this are listed below. Follow the links for more information.

Has your child shown an interest in music? Do they dream of picking up an instrument but you’re unsure where to begin? Our Learn to Play scheme makes starting simple, affordable, and inspiring!
We’re thrilled to be able to offer a limited number subsidised Starter Packs for young learners as part of our pilot programme through selected local schools.
What’s Included?
Each Starter Pack comprises:
A suitable instrument (currently trumpet, clarinet, or violin but do let us know if you are interested in other instruments) loaned for the duration
Up to five 30-minute 1:1 lessons with an experienced, DBS-checked teacher
Flexible scheduling over the summer to complete the pack within 8 weeks
Cost:
Just £30 for five lessons including instrument loan (there maybe a small additional fee if we need to source an instrument not in stock)
Eligibility:
Children must be 8 years old or above and attend one of the participating schools. If you are interested in learning a brass instrument, they must also have their adult front teeth!
***New*** Starter Packs for Budding Young Musicians!!!

How It Works:
Upon receipt of payment and return of a signed terms and conditions form, the Trust will provide the instrument to the teacher before your child’s first lesson.
Students may take their instrument home between lessons
The Trust pays the teacher directly directly.
After the trial ends, there’s no obligation to continue, but we’d be delighted to help you explore next steps if your child wishes to carry on learning!
This is a fantastic way to test the waters without a long-term commitment—perfect for curious beginners and families considering musical learning!!!
Ready to Begin?
Spots are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis to pupils at selected local schools. To register or find out more, get in touch via the sign up form below!
